what is rfidconf?

RFIDconf is an event utility that enables seamless participants' identification. Thanks to passive rfid tags hidden in badges we are able to track&monitor participants' activity. That gives almost unlimited possibilities for interactions and better event management. Thanks to RFID tracking it is possible to measure and investigate (in the manner imperceptible for the participants) how people move during the conference, trade fairs, and event and to get to know their preferences.

ID badge is one of the most important elements of the RFIDconf conference system. From outside it looks like a standard conference badge but the real difference is hidden inside where the RFID chip is placed. Each chip has unique ID number thanks to which its precise identification is possible. The RFID tags are made based on the latest UHF standards that provide high quality performance and measurement distance of up to 7 meters. All ID badges are produced according to the design supplied by the Customer. All RFIDconf badges are safe and secure – they don’t carry any data or information about the attendees.

Unlike Philip K. Dick in his novel (Minority Report) we dont's intend use iris scanners. To analyze participants' flow we use specially designed antennas that can be mounted wherever we need to track people activity.

interactions

Knowing who enters a room or walks in front of a LCD screen gives numerous possibilities for interactions. The data about appearing visitor can immediately be used, for example, to display a personal welcome message, to assign the results of solved quiz or to link the ordered product samples with the guest's address.

Touch screens located at the the conference venue, as well an interactive kiosks allow you to display personalized messages and to run interactive applications, i.e. surveys, quizzes, and individual conference program.

Here are some ideas how RFIDconf can be used:

  • interactive kiosk - a multimedia kiosk which recognizes the persons approaching it and presents personalized information for particular participants
  • welcome screen - a large screen on which an information addressed the person who at the moment is visiting the stand appears (personal welcome, personalized advertising)
  • RFID Digital Signage - is a set of multimedia devices (projectors, plasma screens, LED walls) presenting content selected with paying special attention to the characteristics of the visitors
  • attendance sensors - they record the time of participant's appearance at the stand, length of stay and place of staying within the stand area

social media

Interaction with popular social services such as Facebook or Twitter allows to benefit from power of social communication and makes more attractive its reception by multitude of participants and their environment. Popular statement If you are not on facebook, you don't exist! becomes more true as the new possibilities of interaction between the real world and virtual reality arise.
By integrating the RFIDconf with Facebook we allowed to reproduce real actions in the virtual reality of the largest social networking service in the Internet. Among many features the most successfully utilized so far are:

  • Posting messages on Fan Page - application can publish any contents after accessing to any Fan page in real-time.
  • Posting message on the User's Wall - application can publish any contents on wall for user who agreed to interact.
  • Liking Fan Pages, Photos and other Posts - liking action must be manually through click on "Like it" by the user. Whereas liking published photos and posts on Fan page is completely automatically through the application independently of whether the user is logged in or not.
  • Commenting on posts - commenting on posts on behalf of the user by the applications can greatly improve and accelerate the existence of every user.
  • Management of event - A very useful service which Facebook provides us is Event. It allows to communicate with all users in easy and consistent way.



    Application can decide on the users presence at any time.

  • Sharing invitations - personal meeting in the real world could result proposal knowledge on Facebook. One or two people will get a post-offer to send an invitation, which will be seen only by the owner of a board.

  • Find friends - user can check who of his friends really participates in an event. User can do it with one touch of screen, which is connected to the system.
    User through an RFID tag has full control over the actions and posts that are related to his profile or wall.
    "Just touch and post" - facebook experience has never been so intuitive.
